Quakertown, PA, August 31, 2017 – Penn Stainless Products, is proud to announce Haylie Klausen as the recipient of the 2017 Penn Stainless Scholarship. Haylie, daughter of Eric and Rose Klausen of Northampton, PA, was chosen from an impressive group of qualified candidates in consideration for the $5,000 award. She will attend Penn State University (Main Campus) in the fall, majoring in Psychology.
Since 2008, Penn Stainless Products has been awarding this scholarship to a high school student who is about to enter college and excels in academic achievement, personal development, extracurricular activities, and community service. The winner is selected – based on qualifications, recommendations, and financial need – from among a pool of candidates composed of children of PSP employees. Haylie’s father Eric works as a Driver in PSP’s Traffic Department.
Penn Stainless Products president Jim Seward said, “We are honored to name Haylie as this year’s scholarship recipient. Her commitment to academics and strength of family personify the best qualities of young people today.”
