This specification discusses seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe for high-temperature service. The pipe must be suitable for bending, flanging (vanstoning) and similar forming operations, and for fusion welding. Grade P2 and P12 steel pipes must be made by coarse-grain melting practice. The steel material must possess the required chemical composition, tensile property, and hardness. The pipes must undergo transverse or longitudinal tension tests, flattening tests, and hardness or bend tests, and a hydrostatic test, along with a non-destructive examination method.
