316 and 316L Stainless Steel Pipe & Tube

Grades 316 and 316L are available from inventory in seamless pipe, seamless tube, welded tube and welded pipe. We can provide 316 and 316L welded pipe and tube up to 120″ diameter with reduced lead times.

General Properties

Alloys 316 and 316L contain molybdenum to improve corrosion resistance. These grades have higher nickel content than 304/L stainless steel. 316/L is better with regards to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Both grades are two of the most commonly used stainless steel grades for pipe and tube.
